But that doesn't mean that the echo buff should feel useless when I want to do my wonderous tails solo or farm mounts without making others sit through the trials and raids just because Titan puts me in rock jail or the ads happen to invuln(or practically invuln with the insane buffs they get) when they tether. I get that people want to be able to run this content at min ilvl and stuff and I respect them for that. I really wish they would give us an extra option under unsynced that allowed us to disable these one-shot mechanics(along with mechanics like the Titan one that puts you in rock jail for a couple minutes) that keep us from solo farming old content. If you don't remember it being hard to get, someone probably helped you or you didn't get it early on. The only way to get it in level 65+ below is to do Dungeons. I can't remember if I got Devour from some alternate source, but I don't remember it being hard to get.ĭevour is an instant kill in dungeons and the open world mob is level 70 which I didn't have access to when I was first trying to get it. You technically "CAN" do it if you put time to it, but the amount of time investment is stupidly disproportional to the fun to be had. Average people don't want to spend months developing speed runner skills to enjoy a game. Think someone proved that aside from like one skill those could also be soloed but took massive amount of time without mistakes.Īnd thus I said "Futile and Frustrating". In lower levels, you don't have access to those, especially if you run synced and are even just trying to get those. You're probably remembering dungeons when you already have Ultravibration and Missile. I had to wait until lvl 60 + Poetics gear to start working on the level 50 spells just because the dungeons are close to impossible to finish synced with piddly level 49 and below spells. The actual good spells are in the dungeons and are a pain to solo + synced.

I can count in one hand the good spells learned outside that was used from start to end. Not the ones that actually contributed massively to the Blue Mage playstyle.

The shitty spells that actually only counted for completing the books.

Most of things on BLU were fairly easily soloable outside of the later Trial/Raid skills.
